Millau is one of the major sites of free flight in France. The proximity and the abundance of the sites make it a privileged place for learning paragliding. Two methods of learning with practicals sessions and theoretical classes to discover, understand and realized one or few great first flights solo, in calm conditions. Free french fly label school. State qualified instructor. Adapt material, renewed annually. Innovative pedagogy - friendly welcome
Season ?
Our school is open Spring, Summer in teaching. The courses take place from Monday to Friday essentially.
Where ?
The choice of the site depends on the direction and the wind. In the day, the wind can change direction.
Equipement
Sports shoes, pants, jacket are recommended. Avoid objects in uncompled pockets.
Appointment
The internship appointments are held at Horizon School on Foch Square. Transport is provided from Horizon.
First steps of free flight
Discovery Method
Paragliding has become an open activity to the largest number. The morning begin with a meeting in slope school, presentation of the wing and its markers, floor work, place and inflations of the wing in a first time and smalls slopes jumps on late morning... Followed by a pedagogical tandem flight close by your monitor, with possibility of pilotating for the student in double commands.

Your first solo flights
Classic Course
On all the courses, this is perhaps the most unforgettable... you are going to live this unique moment: flying solo. But before: learning the handling of the wing on the ground in sloping school the first 3 mornings. The last two mornings of the course are devoted to the great solo flights with guiding radio sessions.

Towards autonomy...
Perfection Course
To acquire autonomy in calm conditions on known sites and get the initial pilot licence . After a resumed meeting in slope school, session of major flights occur on the differents sites of Millau. Exercises in flights, work on take-off, land ’s catches for landing, discovery of the pitch, roll, "ears"... and of course the solo flights pleasure in calm conditions.

Planning forecast 2023
Choice Sessions
Full Day or half-day-day sessions to improve according to its practice level or for a resumption of paragliding activity.
We will evaluate your level with your free flight passport.
Option Tandem
Tandem flight is an effective means of learning the pilotage and progression bases, regardless of its level of practice. Being next to his particular monitor, at wing controls, technical development and self-confidence.

The family rate is applied from 3 pers. The group rate is applied from 6 pers. The rate presented on the site is the individual rate per person. All our rates are inclusive of VAT and include 20% Tva.

Once your pre-booking is made, fill out the online form for your classics or development internship. You will then be redirected to the secure payment page to pay the deposit of 90€.
Medical certificate
For your school internship, we will need to present a medical certificate on the 1st day (to be completed by your attending physician). You must not present any contraindication to the practice of free flight. Attention the doctor’s approval number must be present on the medical certificate. A copy to be printed is attached.
Air Rc Insurance
It is essential to take out valid air liability insurance to present on the 1st day of the internship in school. If you do not have personal insurance covering this paragliding activity, we will offer insurance from the French Free Flight Federation. There are 3 options available from 34 euros (RC student week, RC student until 31 December and/or Primo licensed eleve and out of school) Our school is certified within the federation. From receipt of registration you will receive an SMS with a link to contribute your online license.
Monitor
Our paragliding school is labeled Ecole Française de Flight Libre under the label number No. 28908 The free flight equipment used meets the FFVL charter. The supervision is provided by diploma monitors from Paragliding State. List of monitors on Team Horizon page.
Votre parcours formation
Les différents Brevets
Vous souhaitez obtenir votre brevet initial ou de pilote, nous pouvons vous proposer de passer la partie théorique (gratuit). En fonction de votre résultat, nous vous orienterons sur la suite ou le travail nécessaire pour obtenir la partie pratique. La validation de la pratique est de 95 euros ce qui correspond au prix d’une séance à la carte.
Plus d'infosBrevet Initial
Il atteste de la compétence à voler sans assistance en conditions calmes sur un site connu et avec du matériel adapté. Sa validation est réalisée par notre équipe et porte sur les compétences techniques et théoriques acquises jusqu’au niveau vert de la progression. Il est certifié par le directeur technique de l’école (Frédéric Leconte, Team Horizon). Il est accessible à l’âge de 13 ans.
Brevet de Pilote
Il valide la compétence à rechercher et analyser les informations permettant de voler sans assistance en local sur tout site avec du matériel adapté, en conditions aérologiques variées. Il est accessible à l’âge de 14 ans. La validation de la partie pratique est réalisée par votre moniteur. Un questionnaire de 60 questions à choix multiple à réaliser en 1heure (270 pts / 360 pts) Il atteste de vos connaissances théoriques.
Brevet Pilote Confirmé
Il atteste de l’autonomie en toutes formes de vol. Il est validé uniquement au niveau régional pour les parties pratique et théorique. Il est accessible à l’âge de 16 ans.

Voici les différents niveaux de progression issus du passeport de vol libre de la fédération, que vous remettra votre moniteur. Ces étapes sont suivies par l’école pour construire et suivre votre formation de pilote.
